Dance of  Gawi is a type of dance that has existed since the days of the earlier ancestor. This dance is usually performed in ceremony - the ceremony , the inauguration chieftain (Wake Ria Ringgi Beba), construction of custom homes , gather the harvest in the granary.
            Dance philosophy of Gawi is as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty for giving thanks and grace to Lio Ende community and the general public about the abundant harvest , natural harmony , a good life and harmony between people .
            This kind of circular dance around the Tubu musu by way of holding hands and legs jerked in the form of two kinds , namely Ngendo and Rudhu variety or varieties backward and forward.


In the composition forms no part -part of Gawi that is:

- Eko Wawi – Sodha
- Sike - Ana Jara
- Naku Ae Wanda Pau
- Ulu
           
The composition of the Gawi in each appearance is as follows : Mega Rema Ba - Oroe - Sodha - Ndeo Oro . Time and number of participants dance  not specified and the dance is usually held at the Kanga Koja Nggua event / ceremonial customs , for participants of  Gawi are required to sing at the oro.

 FUNCTION OF THE DANCE OF GAWI
This Dance has a function to strengthen the feeling of togetherness and harmony between people and as gratitude to the Almighty God for the blessings and grace that has been bestowed ( Yields are abundant ).

            DANCE ELEMENT GAWI
