19, 2008 and lasted for 5 consecutive days. Until now the Lake Sentani Festival
has become an annual event agenda routine begins each June 19 every year.
In this event,
there are three main agendas, namely:
1. The cultural
performance: displaying a variety of cultural attractions such as the rowing
race, curly hair weaving, making of sago traditionally, traditional dances and
ceremonies. Visitors can also sample a variety of foods typical of Papua are
presented as typical Papua sago commonly called papeda, bagea (corn cakes), and
the betel nut craze Papuans.
2. The exhibition
of the art of Papua: Papua presents a variety of unique handicrafts such as
batik Papua and camshaft. Noken Papua is a typical bag made of bark fiber.
3. sightseeing
